Chopard

"Unusual" watch for L.U.C XP

KMII,

I am checking with Chopard because that is an unusual looking watch.

The reference number does not match the reported model of watch.

The numerals are different from the ones I have seen before.

The logo font is from a different production era than the Roman numerals' font and shape of hands.

The crucial question is whether it has a closed or see-through case back.

Finally, unless it was a special order, I do not know of a grand feu enamel dial for any L.U.C XP watch.

The photo is unclear if a third hand is overlapping the hour hand. If it is a central seconds hand, it is not an L.U.C XP or XPS.

Conversely, L.U.C 1937 with central seconds hand has a date display.

If there are only two hands, then one is a dauphine shape and the other is a distorted dauphine fusee shape; which are also incongruous.....

MTF
