Quick Update - Response from Chopard

 

I thought it was appropriate to let Chopard corporate know what happened with my watch as everyone I've talked to seemed very surprised something like this could happen.  So I sent Chopard an email yesterday via their website but assumed it would just go unnoticed.  Today I received an email from Benjamin Binsfeld who has the title of Head Watchmaker in NY.  And he copied in 4 other people at Chopard corporate on the email.  His email stated "I  am sorry to hear about your dial. Please feel free to ship the watch to my attention in New York and I will replace your dial free of charge."  I was very impressed that the Head Watchmaker would respond personally to a generic email I sent through the Chopard website.  That is pretty impressive customer service.  I'm going to send him my watch after the holidays and I'll let you know how that process goes.
