Although I’ve been into horology since high school, my first true watch in this journey was a Cartier Roadster back in 2003:
This was my daily wearer for more than a decade. However, as my collection grew, she had become a ‘safe queen.’ I traded her in 2022:

Cartier had discontinued their Roadster collection back in 2012. The collection was revived this year during Watches & Wonders:

This updated collection still has the recognizable Roadster silhouette. The most noticeable change is that the screws have been removed from the lugs and replaced with rivets on the bezel:

The Roman numbers, which are now stamped, reach to the other edges of the dial unlike the previous generation:

The sword hands have also been refined:

The case has also been refined with curvatures to provide more of a wrist-hugging level of comfort for the wearer:
