I am not crazy about the monogram either, find it a bit feminine, but for the cases, I agree with you, it's great!
So classic.
From a historical point of view, you will be surprised to know that the Damier design was the first,
followed later by, the now much more famous, Monogram.
LV has in their permanent collection, a regular size attachée case in Monogram, 44x34x11,
with the same locks (and keys) as these cases pictured above an a complete filing system (intérieur)

I like the look of the larger one
I have to be honest I dislike the Louis Vuitton monogram canvas, which is so prevalent it's almost an epidemic. But I must admit the large case looks classic and almost vintage. Do they make slimmer attache cases like that? - SJX
