Cartier

Hi, I wanted to get the learned opinion of the horological experts on this site. What is your take on the Cartier Roadster? Has it lost its appeal? Do you see many in the wild?Where does it rank amongst Cartier models (fist tier, second tier, etc.)? I don... 

I do think it is an attractive line of watches. The prices (without mentioning numbers) on the used and secondary market are very good for the buyer. Best, Martin

I think it is probably second tier as well. i have had mine for nearly 10 years, but don’t wear it that often. So, I began to wonder how others feel about it.

There is absolute nothing in this watch that I like, from the shape of the case to the dial and the hands. It looked like a sport edition of the gorgeous Tortue. But the succes of the sportive steel Santos that came out of the Santos Dumont, is in my opin... 

I've had mine for over 14 years and counting. I love the overall sporty looks and the convenient quick changing bracelet/strap system. However, I must admit that I have never put the rubber strap on it. In fact, it's still in the box. Obviously, I'm a fan...  

It makes sense since you have the bracelet. I have the leather band (and the black sport band it came with). Like the new toy! As for the Tortue...very nice. I love the CPCP Tortue Monopoussier ref 2396! An awesome piece!

if I had known that you had one yourself, I am not sure if I would have given my honest opinion. Hopefully it does not spoil the pleasure.

I am considering using it help fund another purchase. I usually don’t sell my pieces; in fact, I️ never have, but this piece doesn’t get much wrist time at all. Thanks again!
