I'll take the opposing view
I've had mine for over 14 years and counting. I love the overall sporty looks and the convenient quick changing bracelet/strap system. However, I must admit that I have never put the rubber strap on it. In fact, it's still in the box. Obviously, I'm a fan. I can't believe Cartier 'retired' the Roadster.
It's been my daily beater for the last few years. But, I've given it a well deserved rest with my latest arrival within the last week:

I would not call myself an expert
I do think it is an attractive line of watches. The prices (without mentioning numbers) on the used and secondary market are very good for the buyer. Best, Martin

I think it is probably second tier as well. i have had mine for nearly 10 years, but don’t wear it that often. So, I began to wonder how others feel about it.

It makes sense since you have the bracelet. I have the leather band (and the black sport band it came with). Like the new toy! As for the Tortue...very nice. I love the CPCP Tortue Monopoussier ref 2396! An awesome piece!

It’s quite okay! As mentioned, my admiration for it has waned.
I am considering using it help fund another purchase. I usually don’t sell my pieces; in fact, I️ never have, but this piece doesn’t get much wrist time at all. Thanks again!
