Cartier

It is small compared...

to other watches in vogue today, of course.  And it seemed small when I first put it on.  However, it grows on you and its classical good looks overcome the size issue.  In fact, after wearing it a few hours, it no longer seems overly small but the proportions are "just right".  I, actually, prefer watches that many would see as too small--eg. 35-38 mm. I know there is a contingent similarly inclined on this forum as there is also one which prefers the 42+ mm "mega" watches.

My preference is always for slim watches and especially when wearing long-sleeved shirts with cuffs.  When dressed in suit and tie a slim watch is almost de rigueur to fit readily under the cuff.  Accordingly, theTank LC is ideally suited for wear when dressed in business or formal attire. It is a choice which others may view as conservative and tasteful.  Obviously, it is ill-suited for sports or other such casual wear when a more substantial watch might be chosen.
Thus when one has a choice of various watches the Tank LC can take its rightful place in the daily habits of the wearer.  It may not be the ideal watch for an only one watch person with an active lifestyle.  However, I do know of several persons who manage to live a full life with but a single superb watch that some would not want to wear in more stressful (to the watch) activities/settings.  Taste in watches being in the eye of the beholder, the above represents solely my view on the matter.  I would be interested to hear the views of others.
