Cartier

I see

Actually it's for my partner's watch. She's not 100% yet on the choice (or brand). But if it's from Cartier, it is most probably between the Small Roadster Quartz or the medium sized Santos 100 auto.
Price wise, the Santos isn't that more than the Roadster. So say if she liked both model equally,  naturally we should go for Santos because it has an auto movement right? (better value for money)

But the thing is, if it's just a basic ETA inside (like 2824), then the movement should be very cheap (less than $100), and considering there's no display back and (assuming) no modification or decoration added, maybe the more value one is the Quartz-based Roadster then? Considering we are not getting an in-house movt, or decorated/modified ETA and we can't even see the movement (no display back), also considering then we have to pay another $300-$400 bucks per 5yr to get it serviced, maybe Quartz option is better then? What do you think?

By the way here is the pic of the watches mentioned. (**Pics owned by brandwatch.jp/joyful collection)
