Does anybody recognize this movement?
Jun 21, 2020,13:11 PM
This robust little guy is the heart inside my Tank Basculante A10. I like it that the balance bridge is supported by two screws - a feature I have never seen on a movement this small before. Anybody can help me identify the origin of Cartier cal. 161?

Dear Friend, the caliber in your watch is a Frederic Piguet 61 extra thin. one of the top manual calibers ever produced and ultra thin to boot. Enjoy. Rafael
Thank you Dmitriy!

You've just made at least one watch nerd very happy.

Not Piaget. Cartier is working quite often with Piaget, but not for the Tank Basculante. GEO
Undoubtedly a Piaget

I still prefer the F. Piguet movement over this as the anglage is much better and there's more technicality with the 3 separate bridges.
