I had a different sort of experience. First of all, the brand beefed up their booth artificially by including a lot of jewelry and jewelry watches. Understandable for a jewelry/watch brand such as Cartier, but a bit disappointing nevertheless.
Then we have the Cle - I'm sure we all follow major blogs and websites. There is almost no info on the collection. Cartier media department dropped the ball massively. Everyone is talking Lange, AP, Montblanc, etc. Almost no mention of a NEW COLLECTION.
If you need more proof the event was mismanaged - the booth was empty (Wednesday afternoon for me). Cartier had the largest booth of all, but e.g. AP had many times more people than they did, and with much more expensive pieces. I think the luxury slowdown must be taking its toll on brands being big in accessible luxury segment.
