Another novelty reached my Cartier AD... the Rotonde de Cartier Earth and Moon!
and this time it is not a "simple" Diver because we are talking about a high-horology watch!
I had the surprise a few days again to see the impressive in all meanings: the Rotonde de Cartier Earth and Moon!
This watch is really amazing: it features a complication I found strange at the beginning: the moonphase display on demand. Actually, the idea is clever because it allows to play with this "slow" complication which becomes immediately fast and enjoyable! The complication also uses the Tourbillon which finds here a new role.
The watch is as you know big and thick and has a very strong presence of the wrist. But this large diameter is a bit mandatory here to take advantage of the displays:

Another great asset of the watch is the lay-out of the movement:

It looks like a galaxy or a web. I appreciate this very contemporary way to design and decorate it.
Believe me, you fill the 47mm on the wrist... this watch is for large wrists without any hesitation. But when you can physically afford it, what a pleasure!
Do you want to play with an animated sky? This watch is for you!

I will try to do some fresh pics of this watch once I can.
