The watch is not very wide. It tapers down to narrower than usual lug size with a skinny strap, which may be creating the illusion that the watch is wide at the 3-9 plane.

Both the case and the movement have a gentle curve which makes this special unlike the Hubritus from a lazier brand with a repurposed silly looking movement for that case.
