This is one of my favorite Octo Finissimo versions!

First of all... I hate to admit it... Wei Koh, Editor-in-Chief of Revolution, has great taste. There. I've typed it. I can't take it back. This limited edition is so incredibly well conceived that it's one of the best Octo Finissimo timepieces out there. This one and the Tadao Ando in titanium are my two favorite Octo Finissimos. I don't have a lot of experience with the hand wound models, but the automatic ones don't wind perfectly. For instance, my Octo Finissimo, which is automatic, will sometimes stop in the middle of the night, even if I walked 20,000 steps the day prior (that's about 15 kilometers, so that's a fairly active day)! To be fair, this is absolutely normal for thin watches with a micro-rotor movement. My Octo Finissimo is now my daily wear watch!
There are many members here on the forum who own both the titanium version and the steel version. I've tried both, but only own the titanium. The steel version is significantly heavier. But because it's so thin and the weight is distributed so evenly, it's still not a "heavy" watch compared to say a steel Rolex Submariner.

Octo Finissimo Revolution almost 5 years later

Almost 5 years since I bought the Octo Finissimo! Just picked it up from the bank to enjoy it again. A very distinct DNA. This iteration has roman numerals with some apertures to reveal part of the movement (similar to the minute repeater one) but is manu...

I own both titanium and steel (black dial). Titanium is light, nearly weightless, while the steel is obviously heavier, though it's still a light weight, compared to the list of same style contenders. What reference is yours? At first I thought it was the...
The sandwich dial looks amazing.

This 'time only' looks absolutely stunning, so you know where the design comes from; Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani.

I can also see the benefit of manual wind if the automatic tends not to wind properly. The titanium with bracelet is 66 grams so perhaps the steel will be 100-110. Will need to try it but your input was spot on. Thank you.
One thing to note...

The current steel versions have screw down crowns. The titanium version does not have a screw down crown. So if the watch stops, you simply wind it a bit and set the time. No need to actively unscrew the crown and re-screw the crown. But with the new stee...

I prefer the regular crown, instead of the screw down one. GEO
A really cool iteration Christian.

I like it a lot and remember when it was launched as I was very much in the market for an Octo in Titanium. I think that little design change of seeing the plate beneath the dial add a very nice visual twist. I find the base Octo in Titanium can be a litt...
