I think it is a great watch but...
To be honest, I feel these were produced before what I consider the turn around. This one, I believe, has a bog standard ETA movement, and pretty much all the components (case, dial etc) were from third party suppliers.
I really do see a turn around, starting from around 2008, with the acquisition of a case maker, and a dial maker, and then in 2010 with the integration of two brands they had owned since the beginning of the decade, Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth. It was around then, that I personally began to view Bulgari watches on their own merit, as opposed to a jeweler that makes very stylish watches.
This Diagono Scuba Pro is very stylish, robust, and ruggedly masculine. I do like it very much, and a 2000m water resistance was no easy feat for the early 2000's. Although I love the design, I do not feel that even years to come, it is a design that will achieve iconic status.
It looks like you have not worn the watch at all? This one deserves to be well worn, and even tested on diving trips!
Best,
Dean
