I'm not a giant fan of Bulgari, as may be apparent, but thank you for asking. I would start by looking at the first big success that Bulgari had in watches (I do not know the answer to this question, but certainly Bulgari does.) I would build on anything purely Bulgari, anything that is Bulgrai's own... What comes to mind, as a layman, is the Bulgari writing on the bezel--I would say that this design element is the most iconic aspect of the brand, for the layman. So I would probably use the font, the name, intrinsically somehow, in the deign of the dial and perhaps the case itself. I'm up for the challenge! Since you ask me, I believe I can do better than they have. And if you give me the task, I will deliver something extraordinary, and truer to the brand than this watch. I'll tell you this: I would NEVER imitate. To imitate would be embarrassing to me. I would look to the history of the brand and find the seed of iconoclasm that made the brand's earliest success. Extrapolate from the brand's true DNA. That is where I'd begin. The association with Polo would be fairly easy after that. Quite honestly, I would simply mark the association in an engraving on the back. Do I get the job? This message has been edited by Mostel on 2011-03-25 23:28:48
