The La Tradition tourbillon is a masterpiece and very aggressively priced. I can only think of two drawbacks for the watch - first, I can't afford it; second, it is too big to fit under a cuff. On the other hand, the Messidor tourbillon is a size convenie...

Sorry, I was unclear. I didn't mean de-emphasize the XXI - I mean de-emphasize the entire type XX collection. From what I have read, during the Investcorp years the Type XX made up the bulk of the watches produced. After the Swatch Group bought it, Hayek ... 

The Type XX can't compete with Panerai or IWC in the military watch segment, and it does not fit in with the rest of the Breguet collection that is steadily being pushed even further up-market. I wouldn't be surprised if the Type XX is quietly relegated t... 

Still don't see why Breguet should neglect this niche. A lot of the high-end watch brands have sporty models - Royal Oak, Overseas, Nautilus etc - no reason why Breguet shouldn't continue to develop this - not to mention the fact that the Type XX has a so... 

The Type XX is first and foremost a military-inspired watch. The military watch and luxury sports watch are two different categories. The luxury sports watch (Royal Oak, Nautilus etc) is pitched at a higher price point, and Breguet already covers that wit... 

However, the styling of the Marine just does not *feel* like a sports watch - feels too "classical" for me. The Type XX - regardless of what niche we put it in, looks the "sport" part much better. I guess what I am saying is that Breguet needs to take the...
