The Breguet rattrapante
I think I posted enough about this splitsecond chronograph, on the other hand I think the watch is so special and rare I can’t post it enough
Anyway, someone I know had the 3947, which has the same movement as my 5947.
But his pictures are much better than mine, the beauty of the complex movement is shown better.
As said in previous posts the black polishing on the split mechanism is absolutely gorgeous. To me Breguet went way beyond what patek did with the 5004. Same lemania basis but the patek added a perpetual calendar.
Not sure about the anglage, at first sight patek beat Breguet in this case.
But the split mechanism of the breguet is absolutely gorgeous.
Not many of these Breguet rattrapante were made but unfortunately I don’t have official numbers. Would be nice if these brands would give a bit more insight .
First the 3947 and later the 5947…. Same watch but as you probably know the 3947 has a pusher at 10 o clock while the 5947 has this pusher integrated in the winding crown, and that’s more appealing to me.
And here the 5947
