The Breguet Classic Tour party at the Hotel Crillon

Nicolas posted about it yesterday: last Wednesday, Breguet organized a party to close the Classic Tour day organized in Paris. But what is the Classic Tour? Actually, it was organized in Paris after a first edition in London several months ago. The aim of this Tour is to invite clients and journalists to discover the key locations which symbolize Breguet's life and achievements and which create a focus on high-end craftsmanship. It is the reason why the guests could visit the mythical Breguet locations in Paris (obviously selected by Emmanuel Breguet himself) and several very qualitative workshops like l'Atelier Du Tranchet (bespoke shoes) or Christophe Fenwick (Gloves and driving accessories).
Sadly, I couldn't attend the Tour but I was able to join the party which took place at the Hotel Crillon located on the Place de la Concorde. A spectacular and classy scenery for the last chapter of the day.

Guess what was the official hashtag of the party? Not easy to handle however!
The cocktails met my expectation! The Barman was a true artist!

And also one of his most famous family members. I'm very happy to see Emmanuel Breguet with a new position since he is at the same time, Vice President, Head of Patrimony (of course) and of the Strategic Development.
It is a very important point to highlight. This new position underlines the renewed ambition from the brand and with Emmanuel, the later has the right person on the driving seat. I do hope that the fabulous history and legacy of the brand will be better taken into consideration in the context of future developments.
With Maurizio, from Breguet Italy and Marina who has become a few months ago the International PR for Breguet. The brand is hiring talents, another proof of its more dynamic strategy with the objective to increase its visibility.
Emmanuel Breguet highlighted in his speach the special links between Paris and A.L. Breguet and how the Classic Tour locations were selected.
The sky is blue, the sun is shining... the symbol of a bright future for Breguet? But we don't need to do a typical French bla-bla: Breguet has to work on a lot of fields. I already spoke about the need for a more aggressive communication to gain visibility. But there are also several topics around the catalogue. This year is focused on the Marine collection with a revised approach I would call more consensual. We will see if this collection becomes more successful and attract new customers.

Shame on me, I was not wearing a Breguet watch during the party. But as I could expect it, a lot of guests were wearing their own Breguet watches! So I could negotiate a few minute lending of several watches to illustrate this report!

I will not lie: my fav collection is by far the Classique one. The main asset of a Breguet classique watch is that it is easily recognizable even if its style has been copied 100,000 times. But there is the little something which creates the difference: the quality of the dial finishes, the dial lay-out, the charming design...
I don't think that these watches are old-fashioned: they are classic and at the same time absolutely not boring. They offer a touch of originality and even if the pictured watch below doesn't offer any second hand, the dial animation comes from the shades of light brought by the guillochage.
The Classique Chronometrie is a perfect symbol of what is Breguet now.
This watch is very innovative. It works fine with a very high frequency. It is technical and elegant at the same time.
But who really knows the main features of the regulating organ of this watch? Who really knows how Breguet achieved to reach such frequency?
At the same time, this watch is the symbol of the lack of communication and visibility from the brand. But I'm pretty confident that things will move!

I would like to thank a lot the Risotto cook! It is very tricky to propose a good risotto in a cocktail party context. But he managed to offer a perfect one during all the event! Well done!
Some other picture were taken by the official photographer but sadly not with my camera and I don't have them. But I hope that I managed to capture the atmosphere of the event. Breguet is moving and wants to go ahead and further. Good news!
