Several points.
1/ If the 5140 has a silicon escapement, then it is true that you can wait longer before sending it for a service. 10 years?
2/ Is the Watch too big? It is up to you to try it on your wrist.
3/ The Basel Fair is in one month. I would postpone any purchase decision till Basel.

5140 Servicing & Continuity Questions
For the 5140, I heard that there is no servicing interval, but because of the Silicon components you only have to send it in for service ($1620 or so) when it begins to run too slow or fast. Is that true? Also, will Breguet be coming out with new watches ...
