Is there any analogy with the 3330 / 3337?

Scored myself a 3137 today.

Surprised myself with a successful low-ball bid this morning. Sadly, I'm going to have to part with my 5907 now, but the Roth-designed 3137, with its complex guilloché and insane decorated movement, was too beguiling to resist. 😳

Great watch

I was lucky to have recently photographed a 3130 from 1986 and 3310 from 1987 that both belong to a friend. The 3130 was unusual in that it had a sapphire caseback, which I believe did not appear on many of those early models. Enjoy!

Interesting indeed - I never knew the 3130 was made with an exhibition case back. I'd always thought that appeared only with the 3137.

Live and learn! I'm curious if you remember whether the movement on the sapphire-backed 3130 was decorated in the wild, Baroque manner of the 3137?

Apparently, yes. The movement finishing on the 3137 is similar.

Interestingly, some 3137s I've seen have the plain moon, as per the 3130/3330, while some have the "man-in-the-moon" disk. I wonder when Breguet made the switch?

No need to remember! Here's a photo

I’m planning an in depth post on both pieces ...

Gorgeous - thanks! [nt]

I look forward to your post when it's ready.

These are soooo underappreciated...

...and great bargains if, like me, you don't mind (I love, actually) wearing a 'smaller' watch.
