Opinions WANTED...on 5207 - 5817 - 5177 ?
Hi All,
I am thrilled with my 5707 and sriously thinking of another Breguet.
38 or 39mm seems to be my size, and for this new one I would like a reasonably clean dial ...preferably Hour, Min and Sec Hands only... but a Power Reserve Idicator could be usefull if it does not clutter the dail too much....opinions on the 5207?
A Date not important, but if a date is there it needs to be big to be kind on my not so young eyes.....5817 looks good here.
Obvious options are 5177, 5817 and 5207.... I like the crystal backs and silvered dials. I would love to be able to walk into my AD and look at these three watches side by side and make a measured decision, but that does not happen where I live, so decisions have to be made on what is available and what infomation can be gained from sources such as yourselves.
The only watch available, in my country, at the moment in Yellow Gold is a 5207. My Ad has been saying for months the next shipment to Singapore, which we draw from, is due in Sept to ??? but does not know when.
My decision is to buy the 5207 in stock or wait for new stock, and then check out the 5177 and 5817.
This raises two questions which may help my decision:
- Does anyone know when the next batch of watches which includes the 5177 and 5817 is comming to South East Asia?
- What would be the opinion of Forum Members on their choice of one of these three watches and why?
It would possibly be a daily wearer, so I would appreciate to hear your opinions on all aspects from movements, strength, practicality and your own likes and dislikes on visual apperance, etc.
Also, from the photos, it seems that the numerals on the 5817 may be raised rather than just flat painted....any confirmation of this?
