If you're asking about the round, dark spots at the top of some of the letters such as the B and t in Breguet, those appear to be...
...the points where the milling bit begins and ends engraving the letters. The letters aren't stamped, they're cut into the surface. They're not hand engraved, that would have a completely different look. I would assume it's done by CNC.

While examining a macro of the ref 5207, I noticed that the stamp on the movement contained some imperfections. The tops of some of the letters are not completely filled and appear darker. Would a stamp process versus hand engraving explain the unevenness...
