I had this dilemma, too
I even made a post about it ( in fact, a post about the 5140, another one about the 5177, and the last one ref to the Tradition ).
The 5140, enamel or not, is another expression of Breguet tradtion ( enamel, or guillochage ).
The Tradition is well called, indeed, as it enhances the " Pare Chute ", and is looking like the old Breguet watches.
If I had to choose, I would go on the Tradition.

5140 or tradition
Need some feedback please...................................to buy a Classique 5140(not enamel) or yellow gold Tradition.. what would all of you do.......If i could have both then there would be no problem...But....... cheers

If it was the Patek 5140, then I might be inclined towards the perpetual calendar by Patek; but if it's the 5140 by Breguet, I'm still moved by the La Tradition, especially the one with the retrograde seconds (very nice to look at, hopefully just as relia...

Here comes the difficult part...
Yellow gold (more traditional and goes back to heritage) or white gold (you see more blued steel)? Manual wind movement with power reserve (more traditional, what the La Tradition is all about) or automatic with retrograde seconds (more dynamism)? Breguet...

ive totally changed and gone for the black faced marine with bracelet and a leather strap...dont like rubber straps............
