I am in love with this watch. To me, this Breguet 5140 is what I consider a “romantic” watch. The beautiful crisp
white grand feu

enamel dial with those contrasting slender yet detailed beautiful blued Breguet hands, together with what might look like a hand painted minute track all come together to create a symphony of elegance and class. It’s almost as if I can imagine someone hand painting this beautiful dial. Something about it just grabs me. The yellow gold case also works beautifully against those steel blue hands. To me it’s refined balance. The whole is definitely better than the sum of its parts.
So while we are awed and teased by all the new Watches and Wonders releases, don’t forget to dust off some of your earlier pieces and fall in love all over again. As the saying goes . . “Never forget who brought you to the dance!”
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
