I agree with you on all fronts. Yes, there is an additional date function on the Breguet, and also the fact that the movement is 'in-house' integrated lemania movement, compared to the Evo's add on DD chronograph module (on top of their in-house Cal 39 movement) are added plus points to Breguet. Also, I believe the Breguet brand is also stronger.
I intend to put up this same question on the GO forum, and let's hear some opposing views from GO fans! Good to hear from all sides of the coin.

Mostel and BHK9, Ok, how would you compare the Type XXI with the latest IWC Da Vinci Chronograph? Price wise the IWC is more expensive though (approx RRP USD12,900 compared to USD10,900 for the Type XXI), so not sure whether its a fair comparison. But if ...
