I have to agree the layout is still well-balanced to me. Except with the extra long counter-weight of the second-hand, but somehow, will need to intentionally to observe it, otherwise it seems to blend in with the layout.
I am curious with those arrow-design too...what's the story or significance. Thought it was sort of Turkish influence. Flipped through a couple of books on Breguet, and only found 1 example with this arrow-motif.
It's a double-sided minute repeater circa 1783 or 1785. According to the reference " Breguet : An Apogee of European Watchmatchmaking", this watch is 'one of the most important ever made by Breguet, second only to the so-called Marie-Antoninette watch' .
