go for Marine
I have the XXI which is just the XX but bigger, my next target is the Marine. Marine has a clear case back and 60 hr power reserve and the classical Breguet dial, hands and markers. On the other hand, the XX's edge is the chronometer, no clear case back and around 45hrs of reserve. XX looks younger and sportier but the Marine is elegant and good for noble sport like yachting like its name suggests. It looks better with rubber strap but not everyone likes it, individual preference I suppose.
I had a slight problem with the XX chrono when I first got it but it was fixed pretty easily. Its chrono is different from traditonal mechanism in a way that the minute counter is not in the small dial, it is a centrally mounted sweeping hand. My problem was that the hand moved a little bit once a few hours even it is at the dead lock home position. So, if you don't really want a chrono, my personal preference is the Marine.

Breguet weekend watch

Hi Jeremydr, IMO the XX is sportier and the Marine is more dressier but both seem to be good candidates for a weekend watch. But if you're going to swim with it then probably go with the marine because of higher water resistance. Have you handled them in ...
