Hi Jack,
Interesting comments on the plate finishes of the Tradition line. This is apparently produced by a hand sandblasting process on the gold-plated brass, although I have never read or seen much detail on this. It is of course designed to mimic A.-L. Breguet’s gilt finish, which was produced by painting a mercury/gold solution onto the brass and heating it to vaporize the mercury, with the gold depositing on the dial. Apparently brush strokes are visible on the movement surfaces of Breguet pocket watches.
The actual finish on the Tradition watches is rather subtle and one that I quite enjoy as it catches the light.

Your opinion: is it too much...
... to have the perpetual 5327 and desire also the classique 7337 ? I sure do not want to throw money away... My other option is to start to save and buy a Breguet Tourbillon... Maybe the Tradition Tourbillon, which costs about 5 times the price of 7337.....

Ok, a Breguet pc is very interesting as the complication is great, but too close, aesthetically speaking, to the ' Chinese ". As you already own the Tradition and you will get the " Chinese " ( if not already done...LOL ), I'd go on another great Classic ...

The Messidor is much less expensive
You will be, with the RG Messidor, way less than 100 K Euros. I don't have the list price with me, but I'm pretty sure that it is way less expensive than the Tradition Tourbillon. Yes " Chinoise " for us, Frenchies. Best, my friend. Nicolas

I agree with you on your Messidor comments but one thing to consider
I actually tried it on a couple of times and its very very hard to read the time. But of course with the open worked frame, reading of the time could indeed be very much a secondary intent LOL. It is however a very eye catching and stunning piece.

Nicolas, I'm assuming the nickname the "Chinese" came from the small windows
for the date and day of the week at 2 and 10 o'clock. If this is in reference to the stereotypical small slant eyes for Chinese, I'd appreciate it if you stop using this "Chinese" nickname for this Breguet. I don't know who made this name up but it is not...

I'd rather have a 7337!
I'm not a fan of the Tradition Tourby, to me it looks odd with the dial and tourby above it which is distracting from looking. The regular La Tradition, well that's a awesome piece! My personal choice would be the 7337! -MW
