I can't remember if there is anything different about the
automatic winding of the La Tradition but even if there were, I just don't like
the way the rotor has been executed. :-)

You are right about the white gold, it does not look as
loud as the yellow gold version. But I feel the white gold version is too
non-traditional, and the open face of the watch does not lend itself well to
white gold because the watch is classical in feel and style; I feel it works
best in yellow gold which is a softer colour, silver is a bit too harsh and
metallic.

Hi BHK9, There are some very efficient automatic winding mechanisms out there, but none of them to my knowledge defy the laws of physics. It's not possible for an automatic winding mechanism to fully charge a 60 hour power reserve after only 10-20 minutes...
