additional thoughts and a doubt ...
what i liked very much in Mr.Hayek's statement was that he looks at these watches as pieces of art,that is why watches should be bought after all IMO.
What I was not so happy with was his comparison of Breguet to Cartier(!!) and Rolex and their production numbers and his gaol of an output 50 000 watches p.a.This sounds he has no real intention to focus on high end watch making ala Lange or PP with more limited production numbers(the quoted 30000 PPs are partly due to many ladies' quartz pieces they are still building) and horologically priestine timepieces,but more on pretty luxury items in the jewellery sector as signified by Cartier.This would be sad,but probably I misunderstood something there.
