I bought a steel Fifty Fathoms Bathyscape, perfect Blancpain, 43mm for my 7 inch wrist, under the radar, very accurate. Best one as far as I am concerned, not too pricey compared to the others.

There are some watches that just seem like they should be big. Or at least have big watch presence on "your" wrist. The new 43 (42.3?) wasn't out when I bought my 40.3mm Hodinkee

but I might have considered it if it was out then. Although I'm lucky if my wrist is 6.5" so I might have still preferred the Hodinkee. Size aside they are both very cool looking 50 Fathoms. I prefer no date but like how they did it on that new option.

I am a fan of the Bathyscaphe but also the 42.3mm Fifty Fathoms. I think that is a watch with incredible ergonomics and is worth your time. That said, if you are tempted by the Bathyscaphe, go for that. My ceramic one is 43.6mm and wears like a dream. If ...  

As others have suggested, a Fifty Fathoms should likely be your first....but.....

You must try on as many models as you can at your AD/boutique. They will look and feel different live and on the wrist, and what you thought appealed to you in theory may be completely different from what truly enamours you.

I'd go the 5015-12B40-052A path The Ti case makes it much more comfortable on the wrist.
