The F. Piguet 1150, also used in many Lemans and, as you imply, a bit slimmer and more delicate than you'd generally want for a divers watch. A movement that slim, especially with double barrels, is going to have pretty narrow tolerances. The larger thick... 

But the smaller size is, for me, a way bigger point in favor of the 38!

This is not a movement made for a diver. You can’t indefinitely size the models down and keep pretending that they are the same watch in a smaller size. I stick happily with my 45mm FF and my 43mm Bathyscaphe Chrono. Even the 42mm seems wrong on my wrist,... 

The only problem is that when I try it on my skinny wrist, it seems undeniably not for me.

Now to find one to try on...

38mm is way too small for this watch. Come on,this is a Fifty Fathoms and a serious dive watch. Reminds me of 40mm Panerai watches 🫤😫

Must be 45 I could live with 42 38 is a joke That’s one of these watches that are and need to be big

On top of it, I’m not sure about the proportions. The bezel looks too thick on this version, compared to the larger models.
