Hi all After recently joining the Blancpain club a few weeks ago with the Tribute to Mil-Spec I have been enjoying time with the watch. It’s a really special piece - certainly understated and versatile as a holiday watch and not something you will see all...  

The size is perfect, for me at least, and it really executes the tribute well. I have not had the chance to use it in everyday life, but I agree with your statement about the 'sweet spot'. Oh, and great to see it used for its intended purpose. Well done. ...

BUT it is just me. There are many who are not bothered by that, but I prefer without to be closer to the original legendary Milspec. Enjoy yours, it is a beauty, and your pictures give justice to this watch. As for your indicator, I never heard, here or t... 

I change straps on a daily basis on my milspec. Takes less then 10 seconds with new spring bars ...  

Your photos look outstanding! Are the straps Blancpain or third party? Do you have a place to get the single shoulder spring Bars? Cheers Peter

The black nato is blancpain. Rest is not. I ordered the spring bars from Otto frei. Today's strap is a hirsh Arne ...  

Wow we have the exact combo, 5164 and my recent pick up Mil Spec Agree to everything u said about Mil Spec, as I am looking to change mil spec strap too. Been told that I would need 2 0.9m hex.. But thinking to bring it to my AD as I have never done a Bla...

... those are available at Blancpain, since the OC III already has those. Blancpain quickly changed that after the difficulty owners of the MilSpec had changing straps. Cheers Henrik

Thanks for help.. I took my mil spec to a Blancpain AD (we don’t have a Blancpain boutique here), and they need to send it to a watchmaker with the right tool. So I want to know 1. Should I buy the special tool from Blancpain? Will it make the job easier?...
