because I fall in love with it as well, back in 1999. 
Only the (reasonable for today) price kept me away (first-time employee,
you know) and I wanted to see a "white metal" rotor to make it even
more perfect.
The latter was shown in the successor ... 2005.
Sometimes I miss those days of "innocence" ...

Most of the dates don't appeal to me. It has to have something special.

I remember how I was shaking when a local AD phoned me...
to tell me that the rare original AquaLung (the one without the large date) just arrived at their shop. I went to inspect it, but as a graduate student - beyond my means. I had a very difficult weekend afterwards ;-( Thanks for sharing these nice atmosphe...

I was shaking when I landed this one too. As I am horrified to see, checking my records, that this watch is 12 years old! It's still mesmerizing... Cazalea ...
Differences
I read from some site that Blancpain Grande Date does not have a full 100hrs of PR. Is it true ? Can someone witj Grande Date , pls verify ?

In practice, Oliver, the PR is more than 70h, its just that the instant date change...
requires more power than the slower one. Thus, to be on the safe side, Blancpain attest a lower PR although the movement likely run longer ;-). Best, Magnus
