Old Collector Story: How JCB and nostalgia lured me into buying one of my first luxury watch?

This story happened years and years ago, this is not a new watch purchase rather i'm sharing some of my stories on how i got involved in watches smile

I have been blessed to be born in the 80s to a family that had the fortune to travel to different parts of Europe and North America.
i remember to have seen many brands as a kid: Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Ebel, Vacheron Constantin etc.
but one of the brands (or i should say logos) that i vaguely remember was Blancpain.
i remeber associating the brand with luxary (based on the ads i've seen and seeing the brand in prestigues duty free stores).
when i became interested in watches, i came accross the amazing character of Jean Claude Biver and completly loved his character
that just brought back all the childhood memories and i was determined to buy a Blancpain
after months of searching i was able to source what was back then to me a dream watch

Many congrats for this beautiful piece! I have to confess I have just one BP (FF in RG) in my collection and I’m now a big fan of this brand. And of course of Mr. Biver. Thank you also for the nice story behind. All the best Thomas
