Milspec 1 - Mission Ready!!

Sep 27, 2013,09:38 AM

Sometimes the run of collecting is often in the accessories!!!..

A couple of new pieces - the compass and the thermometer!!

The thermometer was an excellent little find - paid buttons for an old depth gauge - purely because the thermometer came as a side dish, clipped onto the strap!! So hard to come by, you have to think outside of the obvious to get what your after sometimes.

and this interesting aluminium compass was another recent find.

Gives the right look for a mission ready watch.

(although completely un-practible to actually wear for everyday use, fun for creating photo shots)

have a good weekend guys.

cheers Tony

...now I like that compass a lot! That would go well with my new little thermometer. What brand is it? cheers Tony

It was made by aqua star in the early '70's

You slide the strap down the slot and than screw down a thin pin. Hold compass in place. Cute little guy! ...

Will do Tony. Nt

I have annotated in a database 18 serial numbers that I have seen around the Web. Some of them only the case is present. Usually they started 209 but I have seen two started in 208. I think they are very special watches! Regards. PD: The knife is to take ...
