Ending the "collecting" year with the Fifty Fathoms.
My search for the (for me) perfect Fifty Fathoms has come to an end with the new 42.3 mm titanium version.
I don't know how many times I tried the 45mm version and always had to conclude that this watch was simply too big for my wrist ... and my liking.
And the various 40mm limited versions felt a bit too small and did not come with the glorious cal. 1315 movement.
So here a few pictures of my new watch:
I went with the classic black dial on sailcloth strap with pin buckle.
The brushed titanium case is for me the right choice for such a dive watch and adds a lot to the wearing comfort.
The lume is very impressive and one of the best I have ever exerienced in a watch.
The cal. 1315 is as beautiful and impressive as ever ...and I really like the new rotor design.
Very happy that I finally have one of the great dive watch classics in the collection.

Wow, great pictures! The 45s are too big for me also so I ended up with a 40.3mm Hodinkee Milspec but after a while I wished it was a tad larger. Getting the bracelet for it added presence
and took care of that but these are probably the perfect size. It's gorgeous! Congrats and thanks for sharing those fine pics because I'm afraid to see one of those in person!

The 45 mm version was and is a great watch.
If you feel comfortable with the size than the new 42 mm version will not add a lot !

Great way to end the year. These wear a little small on the wrist, so 42,3 seems like the perfect size (for me too).

Looks like we had quite similar journeys trying to search for the perfect Fifty Fathoms. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve tried the 45mm iteration.😆 While you settled on the titanium iteration, which I’ve tried a couple of times: I settled on the 70...

I fell in love with this version and it has become my daily wearer. My other watches are sitting on the safe right now. I also went for the black dial, but with the rubber strap and deployment. My most comfortable watch
