Definitely deserves a first class service

You have a very nice watch that is worth being serviced properly.
You can read the excellent interview of Mr Tornek published by Billy Schorr on MWR where it is mentioned that a similar model competed in the 60s in a bid request launched by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Army was looking for a watch to be used by Navy demolition divers and scuba divers.
A similar Blancpain 'Milspec I' was presented by Mr Tornek's son, Larry, to the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. This watch successfully passed the tests. And the contract to supply the U.S. Army with diving watches was finally awarded to Mr Tornek.
For sure, your model known as "Civilian Milspec I" deserves a 1st class service!

I purchased this watch in 71' and love it. Somewhere down the line the Bezel fell off and the spring that goes behind it was lost. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a new one. The pic does not do the watch justice....

Welcome here, first! Sorry to hear that you have a problem with your bezel, but you should contact a Blancpain Boutique and ask them. I have a problem with a pair of Milspec Hands, and I can get a pair if I send my watch to their Service Center, in Swiss....

This is the work blancpain performed. They fixed the loose rotor. Put in a new crystal and gaskets. The movement has been completely overhauled!
