A Few Answers
First let me say that I am waiting patiently to get my Ocean Commitment Bathyscaphe Chronographe. So that makes me biased as I have already decided!
Like all Blancpain's, this watch has a 100% in-house movement and this new F385 caliber is brilliant. It has a feature set which is unmatched: 5 HZ frequency; free sprung balance will silicium hairspring and gold interial regulation weights; full balance bridge; column wheel control; flyback function; vertical clutch; beautiful hand finishing.
Currently this new chronograph movement is used in the Bathyscaphe and, with different finishing, in the Villeret Chronographe (in the Villeret the decoration is cote de geneve and perlage).
I wrote an article on this watch in Lettres du Brassus and there is an iPad version available. Go to the App store and search on Blancpain. You can for free download Lettres du Brassus. The article is found in Issue 15.
