Bathyscaphe iteration dilemma

Increasingly intrigued by the black dial non-NATO strap Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe. Had thought the all blacked out ceramic iteration was the only way to go but having tried the titanium and rose gold versions all at the same time has left me unsure. They ...

I am not a owner of any of those but...

I would hesitate between the titanium and the rose gold. And I would go for the titanium. Why? First because black watches are not my taste. I find them too trendy. And I'd fear to get rid of it quite quickly. Rose gold is cool, but ks it really consisten...

You can't go wrong with either...

Having owned the titanum Bathyscaphe I can confirm the features you mentioned - it is an under the radar kind of watch, though I personally did not like it on the sailcloth strap, preferred the green Nato or the Blancpain Super Trofeo Alcantara strap: Bot...

Stunning picture of your Sedna Bathyscaphe. The other pics are great as well but the Sedna is so photogenic !

Thank you for your thorough reply. I find the Sedna gold quite compelling. When I was in the store I initially spent most time comparing the Ti and Ce versions and found it difficult enough to choose between those two. Then the Sedna gold version was brou...

call me old fashioned (or boring), but I would go for stainless steel on sailcloth strap

or nato strap. Sailcloth strap if you will wear it in the office, nato if your daily style is more sporty. Just my 5 cents. You cannot go wrong with any. I own 4 Fifty Fathoms and they are magic watches. All the best, Alex

My preferred configuration...

...would be stainless steel, with the black dial from the Ti model. The grey dial (steel model) is nice, but the black dial is nicer imho and I prefer steel to Ti. Blancpain do Ti cases very well though, so I would pick this from the current selection. I'...

Agree on the black dial nicer on this piece. Steel would have been a consideration but do not think that is an option unfort.

Ti has a very nice feel on this, the lightness is so good on what is a rather large piece. As you note Blancpain has executed very well Thanks for your vote!

You forgot one

I much prefer the dial on the stainless version. Much more interesting than the plain black dial - really plays with the light. Also, the stainless one is available with the amazing bracelet. For me, the bracelet balances the weight of the watch much bett...

Yes indeed

I like the bracelet version as well, but gray dial and steel still falls slightly behind these other iterations form me. I am sure the bracelet balances the watch out better but for a large watch like this I believe strap is the way to go in terms of comf...

At the moment a black dial fits more into what I would like to add in my small collection. But the blue is gorgeous.
