What a gorgeous Facel Vega
A few years back I had the privilege of meeting my childhood hero, Sir Sterling Moss at Limerock Park in Connecticut. While talking to a few of us about races, sports cars and other drivers his attention suddenly shifted from our group to the parking lot. Mind you it was filled with great offerings from: Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin and the like, but it was the burble of a Yank V8 in a glorious French body that made him stop mid sentence. He looked at us with a gleem in his eyes, looking like a teenager seeing his crush and said: “ ...now that is a proper car for pulling a crumpet”. Perhaps not the most PC comment of the weekend, but judging by the attention the HK500 got that weekend, I cannot disagree.
