Maybe not to the extent where I would have them as an only car in a remote and climatically extreme area but we’re no longer in the, ‘Gotta have two, one for driving, one for spares’ territory 😉
I used to live in a climatically more extreme place, where German cars were also seen as toys you get for yourself or for your wife for driving on the city in summer because of the nice leather and good infotainment but where every journey outside or in winter needed something made in Japan 😉

Full size range was my favorite car
Got rid of it when I got a proper three row, but the fit and finish and driving position are unmatched. I had a full size range, an old disco II and new disco. Never had any real problems except the disco 2 wanted head gaskets😂
