The MB 280SL was known as the Pagoda because of its distinct dished hard top roof. This example was from 1969 and had a 2.8L in-line 6 cylinder engine producing 170bhp and a 4 speed manual gearbox with rear wheel drive. I know there are a few fans here on...

its the type of convertible that really suits the style of driving. pootling around at 50mph with the top down enjoying the sun and the car. i really dont understand the attraction of super fast convertibles as i firmly believe the open top experience sho... 

I love the Pagoda. I used to own a 230SL, but had to sell it when my twins came along... Some years later I got my current Pagoda, a 250SL It was good to be back. One day, I heard a large bang from the street. Turns out that a woman had crashed her car in...  

During my last road trip in Avignon, with the P 1800, there was a nice " 230 " on the highway, and we made some 150 Kilometers following each other. We even stopped at the same petrol station for the refill. The speed cruise was more than correct, with a ...
