It has been discussed a lot why things went wrong with Saab
Most experts agree that GM was about the worst owner Saab could get. On the other hand a lot of Swedes was skeptical when Geelay (China) bought Volvo. However they knew how to get the best out for themselves as a smart investment and at the same time support Volvo in its development. I have never own a Volvo and I never will but must say that I am impressed with what they are achiving in a very very competetive market

The last remaining fleet of SAAB's are being sold off in a historic liquidation. The sale consists of 8 cars and the auction period has now begun and will be completed May 30 at a special event in Trollhättan factory. It is possible to attend via the web....

Looking back many years one thing (among many) that Volvo did right was focusing on Estate Cars. (One reason is that Sweden is the country were most people vs population has a summer house) Volvo was ahead of their main competitors such as BMW, MB & Audi ...
