i personally think that top gear is now an entertainment show
Dont get me wrong Daos, i LOVE Top Gear, but a lot of it is more about laughs than 'whooaa'. I get a bit fed up seeing Clarkson just spinning the tyres until they burst. We know whichever car he's in is powerful without all of that stuff. I prefer the road trips which show what its like to live with over a few days.
There is another car programme on uk channel 5 called fifthgear which is more like the old style pre 2003 top gear. Not as funny, but more informative about the car. Well worth a look if you can.
With regard to the Ascari, it is a very low supercar so it must be a trick of the camera. You wouldnt like it. No room for 2 labs.
You should take note of some of the techie bits as it will help you in your vehicle choices in years to come. Personally i read a uk car review website about every car that takes my eye so i know which might be better than the others.

Love Top Gear even if it is not a serious car program....
Needless to say informative and serious car programs are boring. Top Gear is pure entertainment and i enjoy it even if they work with storyboards to keep the interest and not the objectivity. Car tests are just to be considered for the emotional interest ...

You notice that on the good driving scenes when Jeremy is supposed to be driving....
The windows are either blurred or darkened. Otherwise fun if you want just to relax and have fun! Most of the car programs do not share emotions. It is fully loaded on my ipad for boring flights. Best regards Luc
