He told that the best way to repair the car is to put the hand under the driver's seat and move the wires here and there. Very often the car starts to work again. Funny! Best, Kari

If the new Giulia works... But having seen it again today, I\'m not sure. The QV will be a beast but there are again many areas, where the car is not quite up to speed.

the 4C (?) maybe yes, and certainly the 8C big big yes, but otherwise only the vintage Alfa's. But they break down. Or catch fire. Or short circuit.

All mine have been fine. Can't speak to anything made after 1969, though. I once ran out of fuel due to a gauge malfunction. But 5 min fiddling with the earth strap at the sender fixed it. Also once had a thermostat jam. Stupid modern thermostat, got repl... 

The quality before was par for the course. The rust was an issue, as they were not rust proofed but electrics were no dodgier than with Lucas, Lord of Darkness Since the 159 times they are really robust and reliable but sadly also blander...

...bits on Alfas...and MM (worse) bits, too. All electrics 50 years ago were quite dire. Lots of earthing points helps on these old things ;-)

Alfa Romeo's are really nice cars, sexy on the outside and inside, and almost tailored like an Armani suit in the interiors...but...it takes a certain character to own one. My service manager once told me that an Alfa owner can be summarized into the line... 

I can remember an episode of Top Gear where Clarkson claimed that a petrol head isn\'t a petrol head if he didn\'t own an Alfa once in his life.

...but after a while, it became hard to have to depend on Uber so often.

He owned a garage specializing in Alfa's. He always had more work than he could handle. ;-)

my older bones can't take the hard suspension, the franchise holder gave up the dealership and I had a hard time looking for spares and good maintenance service. But it was heaven when driven hard and around corners.....always brings up a smile, even now ... 

I have just sold my third Alfa (advertised yesterday morning and sold last night with a queue of disappointed enquirers) and I shall take delivery of a new Giulietta in the next two weeks. Need I say more? Clive

while I was in collage. It was sure a head turner! Loved the lines and \'raw\' handling especially the close paddles for those \'toe and heel\' moments!!! Unfortunately, I had to let it go... Would love to get one especially the GTV6 with a Callaway under...

It didn't give me any trouble while I had it. And if I am not mistaken, Sarpaneva also drove one ;-)

Had one... It was very nice and still those look very cool... even a Kari V had one!

I owned an Alfa in the past, i will certainly get a vintage Alfa in the not too distant future. The 156 2.6 V6 i had 15 years ago was a great car to drive, even in the front wheel drive configuration. no problems at all. IMO, Alfas were excellent cars unt...

IRI financed them. Doesn't detract from what you're saying, but they'd definitely started losing something in the 70s.

I didn\'t have much time that day and did just a 10 minutes drive. 2.2 l diesel. First impression is good the car feels right and well made. However too small for the family. Best Stefan

Got the Alfa virus in 1992. Got it worse in 1994. And after 20 years of Spider virus...just got half of another Super. What crisis? It is a chronic disease. Old cars are just..fun. A joy.
