One of the most iconic cars of our era, this early 60’s Chrysler Ghia-bodied experimental car sold in excess of $1 million to a yet-unnamed museum. I had the thrill of seeing and hearing this car once, when I was a teenager. This was one of a fleet of about 50 cars built and placed in “civilian hands” for testing. However, like many other promises of the times (Jetson’s flying car?) turbines never caught on. This car is one of 10 or so still in existence, the rest having been destroyed by Chrysler.
