This bad boy was built in our neck of the woods.  Photos and text adapted from from Hemmings Motor News :

Built by Jordan Quintal II and Super Rides by Jordan, Cadmad started as a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, whose body was handcrafted by Pinin Farina in Italy. Just 99 examples were built in 1959, priced at $13,074. Other Cadillac Eldorado models cost "only" $7,401. Super Rides by Jordan grafted on the roof of a Pontiac Safari station wagon.

The Eldorado’s rear doors were removed, and the front doors lengthened by 6 inches. The body was sectioned 2.5 inches, shortened 18.5 inches and narrowed 4 inches. They bent custom rear glass and built a new rear hatch.

The paint is Fawntana Rose, while the wheels are custom fabrications from Evod to resemble the original hubcaps. The interior was crafted by Ron Marqus, with Classic gauges and reupholstered Cadillac CTS-V bucket seats. The cargo area, the door trim, dashboard, and even center consoles are wood covered.

Cadmad's frame is 1 & 5/8" steel tubing, with fully independent suspension front and rear. The engine is a twin-turbo 632-cu.in. Chevy V8 big-block from Nelson Racing Engines, with 1,025 horsepower and 950-pound-feet of torque. Shifting half of the powertrain rearwards, Cadmad uses a C5 Corvette transaxle.

But making it a reality is the really difficult part. Superbly done. I can only imagine that the project took thousands of hours to complete.

Downside of a car like that is that you probably would hardly drive it as the cleaning and polishing will take much longer then the ride itself
