Ban the snow plows!? I will be at La Forclaz.....
Just above Evolene for the New Year and last year when I was there I saw that now people are using some kind of "peau de phoque" on the tyres, it seems to be an excellent idea, it works......ok let's ban snow plows, your are right Don. Hey perhaps with your dashing fast car you can come and have dinner with me in Geneva!?

The weight distribution is just what you want for driving on snow, approx. front 40%, back 60%. The best is driving on fresh snow, with its light weight and the wide tires it lifts up and glides over the snow. A light foot on the gas and off we go driftin...

.. for me it sometimes ends up in disaster :-) ... the last time i 'lost' control over a car was two years ago, i had just acquired the RS , shut off all the nannies (yes you can with the RS) and started hand braking and sliding ... just missed a huge tre...
i love snow driving, but you've all seen pics of my 4x4 in it before
so i wont bore you with it now. i just hope we get a lot of snow so i can test out my legacy this year. great pics Don, but best to keep it under cover. G
