A very sexy sports car - the new TVR Griffith
Some here may not have heard of TVR, but TVR is a British manufacturer that unveiled its new TVR Griffith sports car at the Goodwind Revival. This is TVR's first car since being revived in 2013.
Natural aspirated 5.0L V8 with 400bhp with a top speed of 200+mph & a 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. Rear wheel drive with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Another key element is a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
The TVR Griffith in these pictures is its Launch Edition, a limited edition of 500 cars, with price starting at £90,000. Production will start in late 2018.

Love it. I just hope they have done something about the quality.
Digital display… that’s a tad disappointing. TVRs were famed for their symmetrical clocks, with the rev counter running counter to the norm.
Still won’t be the same even if they’ve kept it the same in the digital domain. Similarly sad to see the plastic stalks rather than the bespoke machined switch gear.
I really hope that they make it this time...
They have always built exciting cars but the business case behind it has often been shaky. Another one which appears quite exciting - so keeping my fingers crossed!
Maybe not the best time for the (re-)launch of a British car manufacturer with unsecure perspectives for export into the EU
It is not just a question of tax, but rather of homologation, norms, spare parts ... Other than that, I like the car! I see that rear-wheel drive is seen as more purist, but I think the addition of an all-wheel drive would help to bring the sheer power on...
RWD will be challenging enough to do...
AWD will probably be beyond the resources of the company. Historically they were known to develop engines for less money than the development budget of a VW ashtray

would potential buyers not prefer to wait until the end of the year and see the replacement or the Aston Martin Vantage for slightly more money?!

Admit old TVR's had problems but under body design by the legend, Gordon Murray and engine tweeked by Cosworth should iron out a lot of problems. Add a bullet proof Tremec gear box and WOW!! John. (one early TVR l loved was the 390 wedge. Amazing sound!!)...

nasty mean looking quarter view. Why cant we have german engineering and reliability with this kind of gorgeus design?. hmmm imagine closest exhaust symphony to our ears.
Side view is nice,
but the front is down right ugly ( and not in a good way ) and the whole car seems, and i know this might not make sense, not crazy enough. Guess i expected more from TVR... Ondrej
